The middle classes are turning their backs on marriage in their droves, Marriage Foundation has found in research published today. Data shows that the trend away from marriage is now spreading from low income groups to families on middle incomes.

The launch of the Marriage Foundation took place at Middle Temple Hall on Tuesday May 1, 2012.
 
    

There were speeches by Sir Paul Coleridge and Lord Sacks, the Chief Rabbi.  See this page for what was said during the course of the evening and this page for media coverage of the launch. 

   

Followed by a presentation by Rachel Gardner and young people from the Romance Academy.

   

A star performance of "Dino Love" by slam poet Harry Baker went down well.

  

Among other speakers was Baroness Butler-Sloss. Sir Paul also took the opportunity to introduce Harry Benson, the Marriage Foundation's newly-appointed Communications Director.
